This Powerful Coldstream Bonnie Doon  29H son was supreme champion at Perth in February 2008. Bought in the ring for 24,000 guineas.

Blackdown’s calves are easy calving and he is leaving progeny like himself, with great style and length.

1st calf sold was Reserve Female champion at Carlisle May sale 2010.

Other females of this bull have sold well privately.

A third of the bulls retained for sale this year are out of Blackdown. A quarter of females retained for our own herd this year are also from this bull.

Scholland Wizard K459

We found this huge bull lurking amongst the pens at the  Carlisle May sale in 2010, and bought him for 5,200gns.

He was 1st in his class and is a very tall, long bull with good width. He is a very good bull with top blood lines behind him on both sides.

He is a son of The Moss Mr Eshton D409 who was sold for 36,000gns at Perth in 2006.

We were the under bidders of this bull at Perth in February 2007, 1st in his class and sold for 23,000 gns, the second highest priced bull on the day.

After seeing him as an older bull and his progeny at Rosemount and Glenbervie Home Farms, we knew we had to buy some semen and try him for ourselves.

The Moss is proud to introduce our latest acquisition, Scholland Wizard K459.

By Young Dale Superior and Grandson of Young Dale Touchdown he has some of the very best Blelack Lines with good bone, height and with excellent confirmation and is a definite asset to us.

Due to his charming and unique character he is fast making friends on the farm. We have great hopes for this young bull and are delighted he has joined our herd. His first calves are expected in Spring 2013.
